Came in to get some groceries and found some pretty good deals. Luckily it wasn't crazy busy so I was able to get in and out in a timely manner. They had everything I needed, they did change the locations of most items so now you have to look since everything has been relocated. Which I understand the concept of this since you end up finding things that you normally wouldn't purchase probably which they got me. The store was nice and clean and they have so many Christmas candies available this time of the year.

Easy to tell multi-star generals are posted here. It's like a regular grocery store, without the inflated prices. A pretty solid experience, I used it more than once to acquire snacks while down her.

With tough times and my Dad getting up in age I am very happy that my dad has the option to use this benefit of the MacDill commissary . Staff at this location are very helpful to my dad which makes me feel very good .

I visited this commissary a few weeks ago and I must say that it is a large one. The shelves were heavy stocked. Meat prices are amazing and low. Meat is really the reason why I go! Their bakery however is very small and limited. The store overall was clean and the employees were kind. This commissary is located on base and is next to the Exchange.

The commissary has every you need at a lower price. If you have the ability to shop here I would greatly recommend it. Anything you could find in a Publix or WinnDixie, they'll have it. The deli has amazing sandwiches as well. Be sure to use your starcard if you have one and sign up for rewards.

As a Veteran this is one benefit I truly love and with prices today the commissary is a saver. The meats, cheeses, and produce are worth the trip for me. Memorial Day weekend and people were buying boxes of meat for cookouts. There was also a sidewalk case sale today so that was nice. The additional bonus of tax free alcohol completes your holiday menu.

Great prices on meat and dairy. Many deals at the commissary. I always go here instead of Publix bc of the great prices. Tax free as well!!

The previous reviewer misses the whole point of the Commissary mission. I also am a retired USAF person - we happen to retain the privilege of using the Commissary but it wasn't designed for us it is meant to offset the expenses of active duty military families. I enjoy the prices of this store, and the staff's friendliness and willingness to help. Food items are fresh, and the selection of produce is quite extensive. I never had an issue during COVID protocols getting what we needed any more than any other store. I often got there at opening and there was still plenty to go around. They have struggled, like anywhere, to get items that were in short supply, but I also have found if I went in the evening often a mother delivery was being stocked and was able to do just fine. There were several stores nearby offering seniors a special time, and prices were comparable- so not sure what the problem was. All commissaries were doing the same thing as they are operated by the Department of Defense. I hope they never close the Commissary, as the prices are good, the people are helpful, and they are there for the young enlisted families primarily- not us retirees.
